The grain painted cupboard was found at a house auction in the Enfield, NH area 30 years ago.
The family attributed it's origin to the Shakers "down the road"
The grain painted surface over the original red is found on New Hampshire Shaker furniture.
The are several pieces in the collection of the Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH
Note the nicely dovetailed drawers.
The cupboard over drawers is in original condition and an unusual small size.
